Playgrounds Guide helps you find playgrounds and play areas near you — free public playgrounds, destination playgrounds, and indoor play spaces. Right now the guide covers 699 playgrounds across 20 states, and it grows every season.

Where the listings come from

Listings are gathered primarily from official city parks department pages, supplemented by published local coverage and by readers whosubmit playgrounds in their area. We review every submission before it goes live.

How verification works

Every listing shows when it was last confirmed. Playgrounds close for renovations, equipment gets replaced, and features change — so before each season we re-check listings against parks department schedules and update their verification stamps. If a listing looks out of date,tell us and we'll fix it.

Before you go

City playgrounds sometimes close on short notice for water quality or maintenance. On very hot days, check equipment temperature before little hands grab it — and pack sunscreen; not every pad has shade (we list it as a feature when it does).
